Freedom Is On the Ballot!

Thanks to Republican Majorities in Concord, New Hampshire Ranks #1 for Overall Freedom on Latest CATO Institute Ranking.  Let’s keep it this way!

New Hampshire ranks #1 for “Overall Freedom”, according to the CATO Institute, a libertarian research establishment, or think tank, based in Washington DC.  Their ranking is based on a combination of “Economic Freedom” and “Personal Freedom”.

CATO uses over 230 objective criteria to measure overall freedom.  On the economic freedom side, fiscal and regulatory policies such as taxation, government spending, and the regulatory climate determine the rankings.  For personal freedom, CATO uses a variety of measures such as gun rights, education freedom, and incarceration rates.

New Hampshire comes out #1 on the list.  We are ranked #1 in economic freedom and #4 in personal freedom.

Why is this?  We have a Republican Governor, Senate, and House.  Looking at the rankings, there is a strong correlation between freedom and Republican control of state governments.  Of the top ten states, eight have a Republican Governor, Senate, and House.  Of the bottom ten states, ALL have a Democrat House and Senate.  The median ranking of states with a Republican House and Senate is #19, while the median ranking of states with a Democrat House and Senate is #35.

So, when you go to the polls this fall, vote to maintain Republican control of the government in Concord.  Remember: Freedom is on the Ballot!
