We dared greatly!

You may have seen some initial reports that incorrectly showed I had won this race. This was the result of an error made in the AP news feed, that was then repeated by WMUR and NHPR. Unfortunately, we did not win.

I would like to thank…

• All the residents of Amherst. Having knocked on many hundreds of doors in our campaign, virtually everyone I met, even those who disagreed with me, was polite, respectful, and appreciative of the fact I was running to represent you.

• Those who voted for me. This time around, I received almost 1000 more votes than I did in 2022 and I was the top Republican vote getter. I am humbled by your support and thank you.

• Those who provided financial support. Running a campaign is expensive. I appreciate those who had enough faith in me to provide some of your hard earned dollars toward my campaign.

• Finally, my long-suffering wife Donni, who had to put up with my going to long meetings, neglecting yard work, and spending time pounding the pavement on afternoons and weekends.

Amherst will continue to be represented by three Democrats. They ran a good campaign and deserve your respect.

I will close with the famous quote by President Teddy Roosevelt, who said in 1910:
